Diving Tours and Excursions
If you don't have three or four days to learn then you can gain the Scuba Diver qualification in just two days and extend it to the Open Water Diver Course qualification when you have time. If you are unsure about whether you want to learn to dive then you have the option to do an introductory dive, Discover Scuba Diving, under ther supervision of a qualified PADI instructor. This will allow you to experience the feel of diving without committing to a course.
All PADI courses have professional educational materials available to help you learn and retain the knowledge for your future enjoyment and safety. We cannot emphasize strongly enough about how important it is to own your own personal copies of the course material.
The PADI Dive School, Dive Centres and Resorts will often loan you a copy of your course material but this is far from ideal as you cannot reference relevant notes of important information on completion of your studies. Unless you dive regularly it is unlikely that you'll remember all that you've been taught highlighting the need for your own reference guides.
Before your next dive, take a few minutes with your personal manual to review the key points before returning to the underwater world.

Discover Scuba Diving teaches you quick & easy 'basic' dive theory. You'll learn a few extra in-water skills (pool,beach or boat ) to be followed by a dive to no deeper than 12m with a qualified instructor. This dive can be credited towards you Scuba Diver qualification. |

Continued in depth dive theory and four dives. Open Water Diver qualifies you to dive to maximum depth of 18m with a similarly qualified diver. Dives completed at the Scuba Diver level can be credited towards this course, however, most dive students begin at this level if they have the time. PADI - Advanced Open Water Diver 2 Days (5 Dives)
This course introduces you to 5 different areas of diving with little theory and 5 great dives. Don't be put off by the name. It is designed to be done directly after the Open Water course to improve your diving skills. Any dives you have completed previously at Adventure Diver level count towards the five required. Advanced Open Water qualifies you to dive to 30m with a similarly qualified diver and opens the door to technical diving. |
